Title: Great late PAC set-up
Post by: Jospe-Home on May 22, 2003, 10:35:59 PM
<>  eddiek & Co.,     This one was a longtime comming and I must say good job, this was a great set-up planes and all.    I have been wanting to see the P38 in a late pac set-up for some time.

Flew both sides all week and can say I tght the plane set was great for both sides.   Cant wait to see it again.

Agreed.  Kept wishing that the bases were just a bit closer together, but the plane set was The Bomb.

Could not agree more, the plane setup was fun, lots of things to bomb in my Kates and Vals and zeros--zeros where there.

Only thing I woud have added is the P-40 since New Zealand units flew those late in the war.

sounds like you guys had fun.  I'm just completely Pac'ed out and had no desire to fly it this week.  I'm not even looking forward to squad ops tonight.  I might have to die quick so I can hop into the English Channel CT tonight!  :D

I wanted to see a setup similiar to this for quite a while, and couldn't resist the urge to use it as my first setup.

to all the players who participated in it.........I was surprised and pleased to see pilots on both sides getting in and mixing it up.  It is you players, the ones who controls the planes, GV's, ships, etc...that make a setup work or fail.  The planeset has something to do with it, but in the end, what we, as players, do with what we are given to use is what determines success or failure.
to najdorf......that was  one wild Jug vs N1K2J fight on the deck...........I still say I just got lucky.

Will be looking ahead to my next setup.  Hope it is enjoyed by all.

CT stats for the Ki-61, not bad too:

The Ki-61 has 446 kills and has been killed 268 times (1.66-1). It has the best K/D ratio of any fighter US, or Japanese, in the setup. It beat the N1K2, A6M5, P-47D-11, P-38L, F6F-5 and F4U-1 in the kill-loss category.

Plane vs Plane:

The Ki-61 has 113 kills and has been killed 79 times against the P-38L.

The Ki-61 has 70 kills and has been killed 48 times against the F6F-5.

The Ki-61 has 91 kills and has been killed 38 times against the P-47D-11.

*The Ki-61 has 102 kills and has been killed 52 times against the F4U-1.*
