OK I've been playing this for the last few nights and I think I'm at the end but I don't know.  There's this HUGE alien with 4 or 6 huge arms and you shoot his eyes out with lazers on either side of the room. Then he spawns another creature out and you kill that.  Then the whole cycle repeats itself.  I've been at it for almost 2 hours and it just repeats over and over again. I must have killed 30 of the spawned aliens.

 How many times do you have to do this to kill that damn thing, or is there something else that I need to do?

Did you shoot him in both the eyes until he closed them?

Been a while since I played it- but when he opens his whatever to shoot those blobs out that become aliens, shoot him in there with the lasers.. may be able to use your Heavy Machine Gun to get the job done quicker.

You have to repeat the process a couple times, and then he'll die.

Heh!  I've actually been playing just plain Half Life the last few days :)

That teaser/trailer for HL2 turned me on.
