Why is that German still shooting the B17 even though it had its gear down? Thats a sign of surrender.
-
Because of the Bloody 101st which intentionally put its gear down in sign of surrender then proceeded to shoot German planes down as they flew away....

Serious?

Well the true story behind the 101st is more like this- A b17 was alone and shot up. The hydraulics had went out and for some reason the landing gear partially deployed. A German fighter, thinking the 17 wished to surrender, pulled in close and started to fly formation with it. The B17 gunners destroyed the 109, and other Germans in the area witnessed this. They then proceeded to shoot the B17 down.
As the 'legend' goes, Germans intentionally attacked the 101st over other bomb groups, and 101st continued to have high losses throughout the war.

Because it's taken from a video game.:D

It was kind of strange listening to that happy big-band-music and watching B17s get shot down.

He probably needed Perk points to fly a perked pork that's why :D

Sort of like when the English dumped bombs, along with Bader's artificial legs, when the Germans specifically noted to the RAF that they won't fire at the delivery planes? :D
