Why can't every one get a "timed" key  for the SEA (e.g. only valid for those hours that were register a website for the time you want to use the arena)? It's unused 90% of the time anyway.

H2H fliers have more freedoms in their world (limited to 8) than the paying customers (large arenas)....

With everyone given the possibility to run events far less numbers in the official core staff would be required - just enough to run the official events. More variety would be created by more freedom.

Thus, no need to fill slots that are currently vacant.

you cant just let every one have access to cm duties in the SEA. Sometimes setting up the arena takes a couple of hours. Inevitably you would get tards screwing with the setups. Or squeaking that they never get a turn.

Events run almost every other day

Friday Squad Ops

Saturday Cap

Sunday Squad Ops

once or twice a week theres a snapshot.

Its not like the arena goes unused.

ccvi, anyone who wants to run an event can do, and only need to contact the CM team to arrange a time and date that doesn't conflict with an official event.  However, if a lot of players wanted to run their own events, we would need more CMs, not less, because a CM would still be needed to set up the arena as required, and to be on hand during the event in case of any problems with settings or players.  With the arena set up the way you want it for a period of time, you would be free to run your event however you like.  :)

Maybe I don't know all pages of HTC's website and the special events website, but I have never seen this possibility advertised anywhere.

Any limitations for the settings?

Hey Flossy, you might want to add that you need the players bulletin board ID as well.  :)

I realise it's not very obvious at the moment, but it is mentioned on Exile's website (http://events.simladder.com/headquarters.php); however, this site is in the process of being moved and eventually all information will be on an HTC server.  Meanwhile, I have devised a form which can be used to request your own event, which is currently held on my own website - here (http://www.flos.clara.net/storage/playereventapp.doc)   :)
