This one gets better the 2nd time you watch it - paying attention to what he says... (also note camera guy laughing in background).

Oh S!#$^% (http://emptyclip.snowcave.org/sa/techtv-blooper.wmv )

Here's another one you're gonna wanna watch twice.

Oh S!#$^%  number 2 (http://www.ops-se.com/Videos/Negligence.mpg)

So... Who had the worse day? (And what's going to happen to this cop?)

They'll probably give her a month off without pay and send her back to requalify at firearms training. Although she ought to be terminated immediately.

I love how she immediately goes to holster her gun... Like, "Oopsy, I'll just put this thing away and we can pretend this never happened". :)

I mean, if ya do something that stupid, you might as well just ride it in... Point the gun back at the guy's head with even firmer conviction and add a "Now don't even THINK about moving beeyatch!" for effect. :D

LOL...that's what I would have done.  With lots of "I TOLD you not to move maggot" thrown in for effect.

Ya know her putting it away is probably the best option. Pretty darn sloppy there but in her defense it may have been a malfunction too. It would be a pretty far stretch but I have seen a couple discharges that were the results of a malfunction.

One of those was a buddy that got a couple new holes in his right cheek. The southern cheek, when the small gun he had in his back pocket went bang. It made him the "butt" of a lot of jokes.  :)

guns don't 'malfunction', people do.

but of course, if you cock a loaded gun and put your finger on the trigger,or stuff it into your pocket cocked, it just might 'malfunction'.

But how could it have been a "malfunction?"

Ive had some experiences with firearms of all sorts and i cant remember a round going off without pulling the trigger or me screwing up.

The screwing up i'm referring to is about 4 years ago i was drawing the hammer back on a shotgun and my thumb slipped and the hammer went forward and fired the primer.  Of course the muzzle was pointed at the ground in front of me so nothing happened to me except a bruised hand from the recoil.  From what I can see she already had the gun cocked and ready to fire so that wouldnt be the case.

Simple fact is that this police officer screwed up hard and she is lucky that she didnt kill the guy on the ground or blind him and her fellow police officer.

With the man being taken into custody being on the ground and fully controlled she didnt even have a reason to have her twitchy finger on the trigger.  She should have had her finger parrallel to the barrel on the outside of the trigger guard.  In fact IMHO she had no reason to draw her weapon.
