sometimes it's nice going to an aviation school. on the walls in the administrative building there are a bunch of posters with the aircraft, the portratits, and the original signatures of aviation greatest.
I saw the original signatures of, among others, Chuck Yeager, Saburo Sakai, Adolph Galland, Gunther Rall, Gabby Grabreski, Bob Hoover, Clarence Bud Anderson, John Glenn, and many others including pilots from WW1, WW2 and beyond, astronauts, Soviet, German, French and British pilots. Very awe inspiring...sniff...sniff...

I know what you mean....
My wife and I are both pilots. We collect Robert Taylor and other artists autographed prints of fighter aces. We are out of wall space with a house full signed by the likes of Adolf Galland, Erich Hartmann and Gunter Rall. On the British side we have Sir Douglas Bader, Johnnie Johnson and many others.
I have to say my favorite is painted by William Phillips and almost looks like a photograph.
It's signed by both the artist and Leo K. Thorsness (Medal of Honor) (http://www.homeofheroes.com/moh/citations_living/vn_af_thorsness.html)[/url]
