i was thinking if all 3 counrties had different colors might make it easier to find the lines . or if it was put into each individuals hands to change them or not . you know like bish green knights red and rooks blue or something in that order .what does everyone else think good idea or bad?

You can only have friendly and enemy colors. I do wish you could select colors for each side though but it's one of those things that I can either live with or without and there's much more pressing issues and improvements that are needed before this is (if ever) implimented.

It might be interesting if each country had a different paint scheme.

Or at least some sort of different markings. One of the things I thought was a good idea in AW was that each side had different tail markings that corresponded with their countries color. Since there were no icons in AW like the ones you see in AH, it was easy to tell which side was which by looking at the tails.

I suppose that would then mean three different colored dar-bars and that would really start to clutter things up.

And probably the reason why we don't have it in AH. The 'dar map in AW wasn't as cluttered as the AH 'dar map so it was never an issue in there but I can see where it would be in here.

I think that was in earlier versions (or AW Classic?) as I never saw that either..... I only started playing in 1998, and there were always icons..... :)

They had it in Classic, vertical stabilizer was colored to reflect your country color. Could have sworn it was in AW3 too, at least the default skins. Not sure if it could be seen if you used any custom SAC skins.

I started flying in AW3 shortly before SAC came out and don't remember anything like that - but we definitely had icons at that time. :)

I didn't fly in full screen mode in AW3/MV, so all I had were just those little number things on the edge of my screen which wasn't like the icons we have here in AH. If I remember correctly though, in AW3 if you were in full screen you can turn on the icons like they have in here.

The red and green dar bars would still be adequate if three country colors were used. The red bar would just represent all enemies in the sector.
In AW, you could instantly tell a plane's "nationality" by the icon color. The tail colors only showed in AW Classic or when running AW3 in "2D" mode without the skins.

add tracers to color menu or let us choose which guns have any tracers loaded and/or how far down the stock.
