Title: Day of Defeat mod

Can't play it for some reason :(  I own the Counter Strike retail version.  

I download dod_v10.exe, install to the CS directory, fire it up, and get error messages when trying to connect to server.  Sometimes it's a wrong DLL file or other things.  

Is this the right version?  Is there a standalone version that doesn't require Half Life or CS to activate the mod?

u have to delete old version if u have it, and dont install it into the CS folder put it in the halflife folder should work then

It should work with CS as long as you have modified the directory path.

Its easier to run it with HL, but if all else fails, I dont think its that expensive - probably around $25 for the retail versdion - and well worth it.
