Title: What else do you do?

What are they?

Play in the garden a bit, have a nice crop of apricots & apples coming along. Just got the Tomatoe's planted, have 50 feet of both carrots & pole beans coming up nicely. Tried some early spinache & onions that are both being harvested now.

I play a bit of several widely assorted games, Delta Force, Medevil Total War, Serious Sam, & Unreal tournement to name a few.

I cook pretty well when I'm in the mood, nothing real fancy, what you'd call "Comfort food".

And lately I've been scrounging parts for old Pentium 2's, find parts to fill em up,format hd, reload windows 98se, office 97, & Netscape 7. Give them away to good homes without computers.

Done 5 in the last 2 months but I'm down to p150 boards & all ISA cards.

Read a bit when I'm in the mood, and help new AH pilots in the TA an hour or 3 depending on how I'm feeling.

I bowl, golf and fish. Have 300 in bowling and in 2 holes in one golf but biggest fish i've caught is 4' baby shark off long island back in 70's.........

Congrats once again on the new-one-to-be Curval!

In order: Raising my kids, weightlifting, landscaping/gardening, obsessive cleaning disorder detailer, hunting, fishing, anything outdoors.

In the fall, landscaping/gardening is replaced by hunting in priority. :D

I collect phonecards and currency and used to collect the following: Vintage electronics (ended up with a bunch of old cellphones, a Nintendo Gameboy with one game on it and a Pocket Computer that still works) and aviation memorabilia (I have a bunch of patches, 2 old aircraft instruments, a WW2 AAF overseas cap that is way too small for my big head, a flight suit and some wings).
Recently I have become interested in the stock market, but I don't have any money to invest so...
And, last but not least, Redheaded women :)

Spend any spare time when waves are good down the beach and camping at the weekends down where the waves are good.

Aces high and other computer games are for when I cant get down the beach or the surfs crapped out. :)

Post by: Flossy on June 02, 2003, 04:49:52 PM: Well, I used to do all sorts of things, but rarely have the time these days! :) My interests include cross-stitch, thimble-collecting, photography and Amateur Radio (callsign G4FHA). I also enjoy riding pillion on Zeb's Honda Pan European whenever I get a chance (not as often as I would like - I need to lose weight LOL!). :)

In the winter I spend most of my off time snowblowing the white crap out of my driveway. When I have time, I love to jump on the sled for a nice snowmobile run up on Tug Hill.

LOL, I don't believe it! :) Yeah, I've had my licence since 1976, after passing my Morse test. Before that I was G8KPQ for a year. Zeb had his licence (G4BDE) when I met him and of course he soon got me involved enough to want to try it myself (Sound familiar? Seems the same thing happened with AW five years ago! :D). I'm not active at the moment, but I always keep my licence current - too much hard work went into getting for me to lose it now..... and it's always available if I ever do get a chance again. :)

I've never been to usa surfing but some mates did a road surf trip along the coast, said the people were amazing, loads of guys giving them waves at trestles and just being cool.

its good here at the moment, good waves and the waters just warming up so back its to 3-2mm suits with no boots or gloves :) We can wear summer suits until november when the sea cools down again then its back to 5mm winter suits, Brrr chilly :(

Its weird, when I've been surfing abroad people always seem to assume that we dont get surf in england, I mean we are an island next to an ocean.

My home break is Bantham in South Devon which is beautiful but since moving away I surf here most the time:

Every once in awhile, my girlfriend and I like to play "Whats She Hiding Now?" Im getting better at it.

Seriously -

1.) Sports cars/wrenching/racing. Porsche/BMW.

2.) Sports. Try and play as much hockey as time will allow. Golf keeps making me play.

3.) Food/Beer. I like to cook, like to eat, and I like to try unusual brews.

4.) Travel. As much as finances allow, I like to get around and see new things.

5.) Exercise. Try to get to the gym as often as I can... becoming more and more difficult.

6.) Sport shooting. Not much of the hunting type, but I enjoy going to the range.

Hmmm reading about history and WW2 in particular.

Used to swordfence up until a year or so ago which is a superb sport.

Drawing/scetching when in the mood.

Playing video games lol

when health permits i also like doing the odd crazy thing. Tried Parachuting, tandem from 19k (solo static line from @2k 5 or 6 times), Glider flight, the reverse bungie machine(scariest of the lot), White water rafted the Sun Kosi in Nepal and nearly drowned twice! :).

for my next trick I'd like to try that weightless flight in Russia but its a bit expensive.Still who knows?

3. Getting into this wacky awesome swordfighting thing, but I just started that. You dress up in armor (yea, it is heavy as HELL!), take a wooden stick and wrap it up in tape so its a 'sword' and beat the piss out of other people. Doesn't hurt much though, 'cause of the armor. They have big swords and little swords, and big and small shields, and spears and axes and all kinds of crap. It seems really fun, actually.

Very nice, Joc.... I recognised the Irish welcome straightaway, as it is similar to the Gaelic version which I remember seeing several times in Scotland. :)

Sounds like me... only I do good stuff like work out to offset my blood red steak, mashed potatos and Camel cravings.
