By default, Explorer doesn't show the status bar at the bottom of the browser. I open it using view ---> status bar.... but when I close the browser and re-start it, it's gone again. I can't see where or how to make it there by default. It's slightly frustrating.
Thanks in advance!

Solution : Opera

Make sure you only have one instance of IE open when you enable the Status Bar, then close it & re-open. Or, open Windows Explorer, enable the Status Bar there, close, then open IE to see if it's enabled. Or, open one instance of IE, enable the Status Bar, hold down Shift key and close it. Holding Shift when closing a window is supposed to make it remember the window's size or whether it was maximized, don't know if it will remember the Status Bar.

That did it Tabasco - Thanks!
I musta always had another window open when I've tried it before (it's not unusual for me to have over ten of the things open).
Cheers.

Nash,
That avatar is quite mesmerizing at 9 in the morning, sitting at my desk at work, with my first cup of coffee, did I mention that it is quite mesmerizing?
