Title: Another VOX phenom
Post by: Excaliber on June 05, 2003, 12:12:11 AM
When I key up either range or channel or rather when I unkey, my video freeze frames for just a split second. Its real fast but it does freeze. This did not occur on my other computer. Since this new computer is 3 times the cpu and ram I don't understand why it acks like a momentary mem loss or something related. I dont think it is affecting my game play but it's there.

2800+ AMD Athlon
1.5 GHz DDR RAM
128 Mb VID
Cable Connected
Windows XP

Anyone else ever experience this phenom?

You don't say what kind of sound card you have, but try going into DXDIAG (from Start->Run) and set the Sound hardware acceleration to 3/4 from Full.

That would probably fix it.

If not, then it could be the sound card is sharing an IRQ with some other device.  This would also cause it.  Use "System Information" from Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools to find out if this is true or not.

Its not just one, its almost everyone that is experiencing this problem. Not a sound card problem by any means.
