I switched to my regular schedule at work so I'm a no go (F-M, 2:30-7:30).  You guys should try out Desert Combat tho'.  It's a mod for BF1942 that incorporates modern weapons into the game, including jets and helis/gunships, and better tanks and a couple of amphibious vehicle.  The mod still lets you play the original too!  I d/l the mod from the Tactical Gamer site in the downloads section - http://www.tacticalgamer.com/

It's a worthy mod and very fun!

I'm concerned that it will bugger up my existing game.  Any chance it will do so?

I've not had any problems with it, but that's about as much as I can tell ya.  I don't know if there have been any reports of problems arising from the install.  Wish I knew more about it!

and by the way.. I play desert mod all the time. the cheats are terrible. the helos rule the map. the tow jeep is a beast. that damn c130 with the guns just ruins everything not to mention the hundreds of motars firing at you. but its mindless killing and it can be fun.
