Check out the 13th Sentai. There's alot more to the Japanese planeset than base defense in A6Ms and dweebing around in N1Ks. Be a warrior. Fight like one. Get in close and cut 'em up.

Although there is a lot to be said for dweebing around in the N1k. It's not the uber plane a lot of people make it out to be, gunnery can be very difficult.
We only restrict ourselves to IJ rides in PTO CT's. Otherwise, we fly what we like.

Niks rule. If ya can't get a kill in one, ya can't get a kill. We still have a few tucked away for gambling purposes. Our credit looks good. ;)

Arlo, I'll see your return bump and raise you a flying lesson by the 17th in the F4u-1 or a knickel, whichever you think is worth more.

Keyapaha and boys.
I see you took the 27th Sentai patch, I had made and coverted it to 13th Sentai. I'm really glad you did, I just visited your website, and thought it was great. Anything else you guys may want to use from the old 27th sentai page, help yourself it's still there.

sure ill let oboe know thanks

Lowe made a great patch there. I still have my 27th Sentai ball cap and coffee mug!
Can you post the link to the old page? I can't even remeber what it looks like!
Also, have you given Tetsuzo access to this forum? He should pop in here and tell us where in NZ he hails from. Hope I can find an animated NZ flag!

I just have a few questions. Which side do you fly for in AH? Also what nights and times are your squad nights? I went to the squad page, but could not find that info.
I have been flying IJ aircraft for close to nine years. Started in AW, then WB (beta thru WB3), and now AH.
If you have flown in WB then you might know me as Edge (id --ed--) the former CO of the Wings of Death squad.
Thanks for your time!

edge,
we just went through a sch.change for squad nights our nights for squad are thrs and sun at 9:30 pm est.We fly for the knights in the MA and fly the CT the whole week that a PTO setup is there.
Usually one of us is one just about every night look us up and tag along with em.
BTW we fly all Japanese a/c in AH we all have our favorites mine is the a6m2 and a6m5b.

Love your Foss quote, edge. Arlo ought to have that tattooed to his ass. :D

Neh .... then it'd only serve as a reminder to whoever's got their face up close to it (you) and since you can't fly anything other than "yank and banks" (aka Zekes, Nikis, etc.) it wouldn't do ya much good. ;)
-
isn't it bank and yank Arlo? ;)
-
Thanks for the quick reply. Had I not been impatient (deadly trait for a Zeke pilot) I would have waited to post until the Java applet fully downloaded. Then I would have seen some of the info I was looking for.
Unfortunately, the new schedule change doesn't work for me. I work evenings with Mondays and Tuesdays off. :(
I will keep looking around, as I am in no hurry.
Besides the Joe Foss quote my favorite is from Saburo Sakai, who in an interview was asked what it was like to fight allied aircraft:
"Fighting allied aircraft in a Zero was like fighting a knight in full armor wearing only a loin cloth and armed with a dagger."
Just goes to show why IJ pilots are of higher caliber!! ;)

No problem, edge. If you need a wingie or two in the meantime, look us up. There's usually at least one or two from the 13th airborne on Mondays and Tuesdays. (Tuesday was a squad night until just recently.)
