i love the map setup but cant play as long because of the texture of the map,gives me a headache after a hour anyway to town down the colors a little bit i know its the desert but a week of this might kill my eyesight

When it first came out it was alot worse. They toned it down. Doesn't bother me like it did.

Wow.. seriosuly I thought I was the only that had a problem with the texture colors. There is a certian "rubble texture" that is terrible. Not to mention you can't see cons in it.

i found that changing the red enemy icons to white helps a lot..also if your in a tank turn on the clutter, it loos ugly but gives the eyes a rest...

it think there should also be a health warning for this map. the way the tanks shake going over bumpy ground is really bad for you..

If youre slightly colourblind like me,  you have serious trubble in
the pizza map for some reason.
I dont even see the field numbers properly until I have zoomed in
to almoust minumum.
for not saying conns flying under me, can hardly see the icons either.

Like SELECTOR, I had to change my con colours. My original choice was yellow, but they got lost against the sun and sky. So now I have them set to a garish pink. That colour seems to work well in any situation, any map, day or night.

After playing one hour on pizzamap, my eyes hurts too.Because of the yellow/brown textures.
The map itself is fine although it looks a bit like an unfinished beta-map.
I found 2 or 3 static waves in the sea.(someone forgot to level them) And the edges of the canyons are too rough-made. imo.

Why not exchanging the textures for something greenish ones?.
I know,this map stands for afghanistan.And in that country, green textures might be rare.
But all areas below 5k should be changed to green. That would be nice.

Yepp, grünherz

with no doubt, this map stands for afghanistan. It came out after WTC-attentat.
And even if the AK's (or HTC) had enough etiquette NOT to name it afghanistan, the map is still standing for that.

Grünherz,

i dont want to bother you or any of our american friends here in the game. And the last i want is to start any pseudo-political disscusion about that.

Only the creators of the map can answer us the true reasons why to bring out a dessertmap with high mountain range, just after WTC has been attentated.

After beeing in the game for about 3 years and reading the gamechat and the forum carefully, i learned a lot about the mentality of other countries.
And that makes me coming to that conclusion.

I always thought of it as the Sahara/north Africa look.  Tunisia comes to mind.

Could use some green oasis though, just to break up the yellow and brown monotony.

I lived in Pasawar Pakistan when I was 5-8 years old. Visited Afganistan around the Kyber Pass area. Used to see the Hindu Kush out my window every morning. Some times K2. This dont look like the Hindu Kush. Parts of North Africa maybe, Tunishia, Lybia, Chad, Sudan. Also parts of the American South West.

But that airfeild at 9k on the edge of an escarpment. Maybe a relic from Alexander the Greats taking a few fortresses in Afganistan.:D :D

The pizza map is a statement about 911 and Afganistan?  

How long did it take the AK's to develope the map?  Certainly developement time would negate a "statement" other than "this map is taking too long and I'll just put in anything to finish it up."
