Title: Falcon4 Newbie
Post by: MoMoney on June 11, 2003, 11:26:24 AM
I've decided to take the dive into Falcon4.  I know a lot of you guys play it and its a bit tough for a newbie to get started in it.

First, Where to buy it.  Probably have to order it on-line.  Any reccomendations?

Second, I know about the SuperPack and patchs etc.  Is there any "must haves" especally in regard to eyecandy.

Third, Where do people fly online.  I never see anybody in Hyperlobby?

Any other tips for a newbie would be great.

I bought Falcon4 (1.08 Patch Included) at Barnes and Noble for $10. It has an abridged version of the manual, but I believe it includes in in PDF format on CD. Unfortunately I didn't get into it, cause I'm more into WW2 sims and its kinda boring to learn all key commands for Radar and crap like that.

eBay or the discount rack at any given software store.

I bought an extra copy at Staples a few months back for $9.99

Get the CD, download the 1.08 patch, then the SuperPak

I'll dig up the URLs for ya for the patch and superpak

The realism

You can play easy mode...or if you crank up all the reality with the latter updates, you have to do everything...start the engine, taxi, etc....

No alt-x in Falcon 4  :)
