Are perk points transferable between players? there is talk on the board that suggests they are.

Lets assume they are. Now theoritically, you could have a person or group of people who could rent their services out to the highest bidder. Contracts on pilots, missions, etc. The price is agreed as a number of perk points, which would also ensure the mercenaries get to fly the *best* planes.
