so, any problems with dx9 and xp home?

I will not install DX9. I have heard TOOOOO many rumors on the boards about how it messes up AH.

If your AH is running fine then I would hold of installin DX9.

You might want to call HTC and talk with Skuzzy....he could give you some more in depth information.

IMHO Dont do it.

The potential problems with older video card drivers and hardware are not worth the risk, in my opinion.

There are absolutely no benefits to installng it and you are incurring possible risks to the stability of your system if you do install it.

New nVidia drivers killed the alt-tabbing for me tho

Same here, no probs with dx9 and AH, or anything else for that matter.

Haven't had any problems alt-tabbing either.

Using the 43.45 drivers.

Post by: buzkill on June 25, 2003, 09:04:24 PM: no probs here...may have improved it...cant tell cause it came with my GF 4 vid card. if its stable on an old M.E. O.S. like mine it's prolly fine on anything.just set a system restore point and try. if u don't like go back to 8.1

i had same at first, installed new AGP drivers and problem solved(most likely caused by installing new card w/o updating drivers though)
