You're lucky! I get it once a week at least! (Same dud who asks me to ship his diamonds from Swizerland)
I tried replying with a collection of insults at one point, but the email recipient was "unknown". Still thinking of a way to get back to Mr Mpeti kabila...

If you don't recognize the email sender, delete it without opening. :D :D :D

Those Nigeran emails are actually kind of entertaining.
Wouldn't spend money on it, though. Wouldn't respond to the authors either. You never know who might come knocking on your door in the dark of night.

I hate spam emails....95% of the ones I get are spam...ridiculous! How the hell do you get them to stop? That I am serious on....
I have never recieved a Nigerian email but have heard of them....quite humorous post guys!
Any tips on getting rid of the spam let me know.
-
Not much you can do to make em stop..
You have to use some kind of spam filter on your mail server/client. I dont know if you can do this in outlook...
In most email clients you can do "automated" tasks, like :
if sender = nigeraletter.nigera@nigera.com then put in trashcan
Nice example right? :D

thanks will try that out maniac!

LOL!
I started receiving these via snail mail back in the early 90s. I wrote about the scam in an association newsletter I produced at the time when this wasn't so common and had one of our association members call me and say something like:
Him: "Are you sure those are really scams? I got a letter and...blah, blah...did what he asked...blah, blah...."
Me: " I would suggest you check your bank account.
Didn't hear how it finally turned out :)
Now that I'm in petroleum journalism they are actually niche marketing to me. The letter comes from an official with "The Nigerian National Oil Company..." Nothing like having the right list :)

Love this part:
Send your bank's name, account number, your name, address, telephone number, and fax numbers. Please note again that this transaction is strictly confidential and as such should be kept secret. Be rest assured that this transaction is 100% risk free.
:D
Ok Mr. Kabila - PayPal on the WAY! Who wants to share a room with me!?!? We can learn how to make more "moneys" with Email together!
-
LOL - there are WAY too many notables: :D
Restrooms are available in the hotel. Please use them
"I AM FIRMLY CONVINCED THAT USING UPPERCASE LETTERS MAKES MY WRITING MORE EFFECTIVE." - Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed
"The hotel was very, very upscale. The running water was a nice touch! - Dr, Collins Mdadiwe
Dr. Hamza Kalu's adds some historical perspective in his keynote address: "From Postal Scams To Email Scams: We Have Come a Long Way Infant Child."
Your choice: A hard boiled egg, or two slices of white bread and a cricket
