Title: Hardware requirements

I hope that some of the eye-candy could be turned off. Like moving ailerons, elevators, flaps, muzzle flashes etc. The CPU hit may be non-existent but taking several of these little nuances away could give you as much 5 fps more. It doesn't matter wheteher you have 55 or 50 fps but on lower-end machines getting 20 fps instead of 15 makes a alot difference.

I agree Bugjam.  I have a low-end machine here too.  I don't a lot of eye candy, just a great flying online sim.

You can set your view range to shorter distances to increase framerate.  We are very pragmatic about spending framerate.  A slow framerate might let you make a nice screenshot, but it won't keep someone playing the game.
