I have posted this remark several times and I'm not getting any feedback. And, it's beginning to aggravate me.
I fly all planes, but I fly 190a5s, La7s, p51ds, P38s and typhoons more than any (this tour.) Next month, it will probably be a different set, but whatever it is, it will include the P51d. I've been in the pony a lot every single tour since I've been here.
My remark is this: The convergence settings for the P51d have the same permanence as sand in a whirlpool. I have checked all related files and none are read only. I've checked with guys that fly the pony a lot (mostly 13th TAS guys) and they have made the same observation.
For the love pete, acknowledge the problem and fix it.

why whine about something that is fixed in about 30 seconds, or less, by yourself?
simply.... go to the ah settings folder, rightclick on the p51d.cfg files/properties... make sure under attributes neither the read-only nor hidden boxes are checked. odds are neither will be.
open up the p51d.cfg file with say, notepad... you'll see four lines that look vaguely familar when you realize they're in feet, not yds...
set the first three lines - pairs of guns - to whatever conv you want, expressed in feet, mine are all 1200 (400yds). the 4th is to be left 0000, but you could make it whatever you want, since it's not really used.
once you do that and save the file... rightclick/properties, and check the read-only box.
presto... perma-set convergences, read-only, can't be written to; of course you could still change your conv while in game, but next time u load ah, it'll default to that read-only setting.
you could probably also set conv while in AH, then alt-tab out and merely rightclick/properties/check read-only on the p51d.cfg file.
if you d/l ah again, possibly maybe even via a patch, do the above again to be sure the file is set to read-only after you set your conv.
now why this happens in my experience only to the pony, i dunno... but it took me about 100 times as long to type this than it'll take you to actually do it.

That's not a clue - that's a kludge. I want the fediddleer fixed. :)
Who knows, in fixing it, they might discover why most of us lose VOX when we alt-tab out. Or, if a name sticks in the upper right-hand corner, you can fix it one time by alt-tabbing out, but the next time, you lose all sound
Soon we'll learn the gunsights on plane xyz are accurately only if the plane is inverted.
Not helpful - if anything, it's hurtful. It might encourage HTC to ignore the problem.

I have been flying the pony some lately and have not experience the convergence settings changing. I keep all of mine at 650 and they never change, maybe a file has gotten corrupted or something. Oh by the way thanks for the help in keeping the P51 up in the air, you helped out a lot. (S)

Curly I have the same problem.
EVERYTIME I log in and check my P51D convergance they have reset to default 250.
I have been told to delete all my P51D files in settings and have done that and the covergance will still reset back to default.
Have tried deleting each P51D file individualy (P51d.cfg, P51d.hds, P51d.svl) and trying it still no luck.
No other plane resets just the P51D.
If you hear of a cure let me know.

Whining about low convergance is showing the lack of skill :D

i havent flown 51 alot recently but since ive been in
AH my 51 converg hasnt ever reset its self to 250 from
400 where i have it. wonder why it happens to some(some alot)
and others none.

One thing I discovered was the P51D's convergence settings are somehow linked to the JUg30-D's. So, whatever you have the Jug30's gun set colors set to will alter the p51D's. Try it, you'll see what I mean. Can't explain why, just is.

No wonder I can't hit a darn thing unless I'm tickling their rear end with the spinner cone of my prop.
I'll have to fix this file so I can shoot you whiney nose picking burger eating basturds down!

my settings hold, even the next day, but if you change planes then log on the next day its gone....at least for me.
