Ok, I'm confused. I am told that I can land the cargo via a C-47 on the runway.
Once again last night I tried this. Landed the C47 smack Dab in the middle of the runway. Braked to a COMPLETE stop. Opened the doors and kicked out the Cargo. Nothing, nada, nill. Why? What the Hamms am I doing wrong? Does the engine need to be shut off too? That's the only thing I can think of.
Any help appreciated.

you don't even have to be on the runway.
but.... field supply only takes off like 15 mins or so (not totally sure) from rebuild time, so if the field was pretty porked, one load ain't gonna do a whole lot right away.

Dracon...Shane most likely correct..but I also found that if you up a goon with supplies from a field that has troops/supplies disabled, there is no message informing you of this !! Therefore when you drop or land the supplies they don't take. At least thats the way it was prior to the last update.. I now always check to make sure supplies are enabled before upping a goon

Dracon...No it doesn't give you a message saying drop was successful..only way I can tell immediately is by going to hangar and seeing if you have perkies for last flight.. and not even sure if that is accurate.. Enjoy

only way to confirm is by checking perks earned that sortie in the hangar... if u see a small amount, it worked... if it says 0, it failed.

you can also drop supplies from the air like troops. Make sure your 800 ft above the ground, and let them out just like troops.
Another thing, if you let the supplies out on the ground, don't end flight right away. If you end too soon they won't take. Once you stop, use F3 to get an outside view, and drop the supplies. Watch them for about 5 seconds, and you'll see them explode, Thats your signal, there in ! Good Luck !

when you drop look behind you and the crate should explode after it does that then you can exit flight and it will show you points in the hanger. as less suplies needed the lower the points

Dracon - this is from help on website :-
"These object supplies will repair all resupplyable objects in a one mile radius from the point where the supplies land. The supplies are selected as a loadout option in the hangar, and .25 perk points are awarded to the player who dropped the supplies for every object that's affected by the resupply."
Not the 1 mile radius - 1.7k so make sure you are in the centre of the burning stuff.
Also if you go to the hangar after check the perk points - will tell you how many things you supplied.

There is a maximum amount of supplies that can be dropped at a field. I don't know what the maximim is, but you can drop supplies on a burning field, and if it has already been supplied, you will get very little perks and possibly none at all.
If you are the first to supply at a porked base, you will receive upwards of 5+ perks for a single drop.

It is my understanding that the condition of the cities/factories that help to supply a field also play part in the effectiveness of the cargo load you drop. For example, when our Radar at HQ is down and the surrounding cities that help supply HQ are down, taking supplies becomes ineffective at that point.
Again, this is ONLY my understanding, not gospel.

There are two forms of resupply occuring in the game. The first is the automatic resupply which occurs when a convoy (or barge) travels from the convoy spawn point to the convoy delivery point. In general the spawn point is about 5 miles or so from the delivery point and the delivery point tends to be the town (or V/P base edge. These automatic resupplies have the following effect... -30 min on rebuild time for all damaged elements of a field. This assumes that the supporting factories are all at 100%. As stated in the rules a factory that is down to 50% capacity has a 1 in 6 chance of providing components necessary to supply a convoy. Therefore, if a base has a destroyed radar and the radar factory supporting has been damaged to 50% only 1 in 6 of the automatic convoys will cause the -30 min to rebuild time.
Player dropped supplies on the other hand, and in contradiction to Maniacal ALWAYS drop 15 min off repair time for all damaged components. In dropping supplies always remember to wait until the chute lands or you see the supply package "explode" before exiting the M3/C47. You can determine the effectiveness of a run only by checking in the Hanger for the number of perks earned. Each and every person dropping supplies earns points for repairing components that are broken. This means that if multiple people are convoying supplies each will earn their fair share regardless of who drops first. The only way in which the 1st person in the convoy can earn more points than others is if his drop causes a damaged component to become 100% fixed and therefore inelligible for resupply.
