In the air I could give a crap what is under me, but today I took to driving. This new map is obviously bare minimum on GV side. Your enemy can spawn 50 or 75 miles, but you can not spawn to his base at all. Should you be able spawn to some where, the terrain is always (well as far as I experienced) the rockiest worst terrian possible.
Whatever, like I drive tanks once a month - but lets do away with all remote spawns if we aren't going to do it even handed.

Hmmm...
Here's one vote for the new map! :D

Two more votes!

I like the new map. really. Even though we're going to get reset tonight, if no miracle occurs.

Its "AcesHigh" fella....not TankersHigh or Ships Captains High.
Its about Air to Air Combat. The GVs in this game are built on modified (restricted) airplane physics models. They are in the game like popcorn at the movies, strictly as an addition to the main feature.
Who cares whether or not the map makers have specifically built their terrains with GVs in mind? I prefer Steel Beasts and Panzer Elite for my armour fun.

bah, names a name, you could call the game anything WW2 related. There's GV's for a reason. Why have strat, or ground targets then..... why because its more than simply aces high now. its evolved beyond the 2 plane beta days. GVs are a great addition and the subs whenever they are devolped will be loved too.

getting ride of "tanker low" is a good move IMO :)

He ain't the only one... ;)

I've enjoyed the map so far. ( I don't GV ) What's missing is the gangbang. Haven't come across one so far and that's refreshing.
Some good CV fights that go on and on. When they're not happening I've found engagements similar to the CT. Two or three to a side, good stuff.

This is a GV paradise! There are more useful waterborne GV spawpoints than on any other map.
Additionally, I have never seen so many GV's upping from their vehicle hangers when the VH's start flashing. Not only that, they are heavily defended with the additional help from the nearby ports with tracer and 88mm ack.
Vehicle friendly, yes.

I like the idea of vehicle bases that cannot be spawned to, but that themselves can spawn close to airfields.
This moves the fight to these vbases (they're important for field capture), so both sides have an interest in keeping air superiority at those bases, while attacking the airfields itself is less likely to happen (less vulching etc.).
Haven't played on that map long enough to see if it works that way yet...
