Can we minimize night time in the CT? Please? Purty please, with sugar on top?

Post by: Mike_2851 on June 23, 2003, 01:28:08 PM: Got to agree on this one. Was in Ct last night and numbers were good, night came (I didn't time it) and it lasted waaay too long. I checked about halfway through and numbers had fallen off by at least half.

Would be nice if it could be shortened :D

but other than that, i think night should be either drastically shortened or removed in toto from CT...

just my 2 cents.

Post by: Tuck on June 23, 2003, 03:53:19 PM: imho, night time is good, as long as it's not toooooooo long. my favorite "times" to fly, however, have to be sunrise-ish and sunset-ish. much better than just outright noon, again, imho.

Post by: kesolei on June 23, 2003, 06:20:24 PM: I don't mind it when its dark, but even I have to agree that it was lasting a /little/ too long. The only reason that I say that, though, is because no one is willing to come out and play at night and it gets boring just sitting there.

If people would suck it up and fly at night, like they did/do a lot rl... it would be fine as is.

IMHO it is better served in specific events such as Snapshots where the CM's can adjust the DAR for the night time, for the side that has the night fighters.

I'm with Eagler. short dusk/short dawn with no night in between. CTs have used that setup before, and it was really nice.

I'm here to have fun. Night isn't fun, and is instant cause for me to logout.

It would give one a short break to have a smoke, grab another beer, hit the head, and regroup for the next sortie. Howvever, sitting there for an eternity just does not cut it.

Everybody knows that Sundiver has a new set of third generation Russian night vision goggles, but most of us cannot afford them.
This situation of darkness has been giving him a very unfair advantage over his prey. Please AH, stop the slaughter! :D

Post by: Linz on June 24, 2003, 11:12:59 AM: I love the night in here, it's one of the reasons i quit Warbirds, and joined AH. More realistic enviroment. Keep it that way! :)

And you whiners prolly want to get rid of the clouds aswell, witch i love to hide in... ;)
