First Italian perk plane at AHII... ;)

Italian fighter pilot folding lounge chairs. Most are Mk IIs. One is a Mk IV.

Reggiane Re. 2005.
The guy on the right carries the squadron bong, dubbed "god". The guys sitting down already knelt before "god."

This is the now famous North Africa Fly In, this pic seems to have been taken in the early 40s when it first started. Note the crude huts and the lack of vendors or refreshment stands. Prolly around 1941 as the brothel hasent been installed.
In 1999 the event was opened to the online or "virtural" pilots.
Now a thriving annual activity it brings together the best pilots in both the real world and the online world.

Soon to be shot down Italian pilots.

The rudder is not 'fat' enought to be a Re2005. The rudder on the Re2005 slooped farther forward and had a curved trailing edge to the rudder. It also did not have an oil cooler under the nose as seen in the photo. The radiator is too far to the rear which is more under the wing on the Re2005.
I would say the a/c is a Fiat G.55.

Thought I couldn`t go wrong with that loooong nose - maybe it`s because I knelt before "god" and bowed down to "god" once or twice to often ;)
hmm but the shape of the hstab looks off... anyway:
FIAT = Fehler In Allen Teilen ("All parts out of tolerances")
FIAT = Für Italiener Ausreichende Technik ("Technology sufficient for italians")
Any more ? :D
