If we are doing all this for the Iraqis, why are they shooting at us?

The general Iraqi population isn't shooting at us.

The British would not agree.

I've already talked the weapons of mass destruction thing to death - bottom line, who cares? This country was one big conventional weapons ammo dump anyway. We have probably destroyed more weapons and ammo in the last 30 days than the U.S. Army has ever fired in the last 30 years (remember, this is a country the size of Texas), so drop the WMD argument as the reason we came here. If we find it great if we don't, so what?

...

WMD is an important issue. We have to find them wherever they may be (in Syria?), but that is not our real motivator. Don't let it be yours either.

Jeebus, they don't matter, they do matter.  Pick a line and stick to it.

What different point of view is that? Its the accepted point of view of the Republican White house the Republican Pentagon and the Republican State Department.
The US press has not deviated signifiganlty from what that guy sent home to his church either.
Me thinks he protests too much.

pongo , what he ment by different POV was that good news is boring and never wins a pulitzer, OTOH, bad news is exciting "breaking news" and will get you a byline on the TV news and you bosses will be happy and give you a raise,...soo you never hear any good news , only bad news.

remember, "dog bites man"=boring..."man bites dog"=breaking news, flim at eleven.
