I have recently built a new system to replace my ancient one,
when i try to run the aces high executable i get a white screen, just before the clip board is to be show, with a small dialog box stateing:
Initialization Failed with -5
MainSN_FAILED -2
I'll try re-installing game, but im not sure...
I am running an ATI Radeon 9500 pro, is there a particular driver I should get other then the one that was shipped with it? Im a bit hesitant to try new ati drivers since we know how great those are...

Not knowing the details of your system, I can't offer too much. However, what I can say is that you need to make sure you have at least directx 8.1 and also to make sure you have the proper drivers for your video/sound/whatever else cards in your system.

Re-install DirectX, then after reboot run the dxdiagnostics again.
As you use the AC97 onboard sound codec it is important that you reduce the sound acceleration in the dxdiagnostics sound section at least one notch left.
This should fix it. I get this white screen if I use full sound acceleration with the same onboard sound. Reducing it usually is sufficient to initialize the sound ok in AH. Make sure if you are logging onto the internet and starting AH to wait about a second between accessing the internet and starting AH. Let your connection stabilize, a second or two is all it needs, otherwise you might get the same symptom.
