Title: graphics card temp?
Post by: Modas on June 27, 2003, 07:50:57 AM

Installed a new chaintec ti4600 card this past week.  I've started getting hard lockups on the computer since then (i.e. computer just completely freezes up solid.)

Are there any utilities that I can use to check the temp of the graphics card?  I wasn't having this problem until I put the new card in...

thanks

hard lock ups in general (surfing, on the desk top etc...) or just when your playing games?

locked up twice during AH and once during half life.  I check for irq conflicts and all is ok (no sharing or conflicts).

I have to imagine its a heat thing....

Motherboard Monitor will give you cpu and case temps ... but probably not graphics card temps PER SE. If your card is getting hot enough to lock up your computer, it would probably show up in high case temps. You can download it here.

You can put sinks on that thing using arctic silver epoxy, maybe add a blowhole if heat is your problem.
