I know that someone has probably posted this before, but I am new to this board.

I think the plan was to release planes in chronological order.  Accordingly, the beta release will include a number of prewar-early war planes such as the P-26, Brewster Buffalo, bi-plane F4F, and Bf 109s from the Spanish Civil War.

Rolo is partly correct, they *will* be released in chronological order.

The first planes will be the ones in the initial beta release.

As more planes are completed they will also be released and will be the second, third, fourth, fifth and so on depending on how many are released in the initial beta.

Expect planes to be released every fortnight or 14 days if chronologically correct to do so.

Judging from the screenshots and some statements on the web, my bet is: Mid/late war planeset for the initial release.
