Title: Target / Bombing Range

I just spent 3 full loads of a F4UD with rockets and 2 500lbs bombs trying to knock out a smoking Ostie. (To his AW callsign delight, I augered once, miss completly every other time and gave up finally).

I don't ever bomb from fighters, at least never practice.

Isn't there a "William Tell" or something competition range for the real military? At least we had touneys in Hornet Korea for this.

HTC ought to make a training arena that would have targets, and a score/hit system. It's a bit much to learn online trial by fire.

It would be a good step in making AH somewhat new user friendly, as I still don't understand all the tricks and ins and outs of the game.

The Training arena will paint a green X on the ground where your bombs will hit. Helped me find out what was wrong with my dive bombing technic .

I cant believe I didnt guess that. I've been practicing offline a lot and was wondering what happened to the green x. Looked all over setup to get it back now I see it's only in TA. i r teh dummay. :(

Offline Green X magic formula:

Setup - Arena Settings - FlightModeFlags - put X to the Dive Bombsight - say "Abracadabra" - hit Ok - loadup and go blow something!

You can also download the "Bullseye" terrain and practice there offline.
