You do a search for 'tiles' in this forum and it'll tell you.

Nuttz appears to have taken the images down on the 'tile making 101' thread. :( That was THE best tutorial we had. There may be others.

I tried to edit the "tiles" and nothing happened. should i save the tiles in 24bit color .bmp mode or 256 .bmp 256 color mode?

Tiles that you make changes to need to be placed in a subfolder called         texsrc   this is in your terrain directory ( you'll need to make this folder )
This folder is also where you place all textured changed .bmp like those of planes etc.  also the clipboard map.

All these .bmp's need to be in 256 color or your TE will crash!

guys, what kind of software do you all use if you want to make a country in real scale like the philippines?

For real scale terrains, I use MapMaker and Photoshop. A link to mapmaker exists somewhere in this forum. :)

Guess what!!!
I had taken the information from that post and put it into a wordpad format (complete with pictures).
I had emailed Nuttz just to make sure it was ok to do it and post the file here so that others could look at it. ( :D he didn't get back to me... hehehe )
That's ok, I'm sure since he posted it here in the 1st place, that he won't mind.

Anyway!  When I seen this post I went looking for it but couldn't find it and I thought that it had been lost.

JUST FOUND IT TODAY :)
