In order of gayness:
1. BMW Z3
2. Mini Cooper
3. Miata
-
switch 3 with one and make the boxter number 4
all chick cars.
lazs
-
Whats the towing capacity on that ther Z3?
-
switch gay for nerd
-
Chicks dig my car.
-
Alan Prost and Niki Lauda both raced mini coopers before they went on to become Formula 1 champions.
Anybody who drives their car 120 mph to work routinely aint gay.
Anybody who hits 150mph otw to work aint gay.
Little blue safe 4WD ricer cars full of groceries with aftermarket parts are teh gay.
-
Real Minis aren't gay, just the new ones like Mini Pee Pee drives. :)
And none of the aforementioned cars can even get a sniff of 150 mph. :)
-
I know you've been taking testosterone pills lately so I forgive you. Dont be talkin about mini coppers like that though.
:D
-
Hell I thought those were Viagras!
-
The Mini Cooper is a bit more nerdy than gay, though it is pretty gay. But I could be satisfied with any ordering of that list. You also forgot to include the New Beetle.
-
Whatever makes up for your obvious sense of car owning inadequacy funkypants.
If I drove a scooby, I'd be trying to get everyone to look the other way too.
BTW... the Beetle comes standard equiped with a flower holder. 'nuf said.

-
OK you are right, the new Beetle is gayer than the ones on my list.
-
I'd say a "drop top Kompressor" Merc (SLK?) is probably the gayest car in the history of humanity. Even male hair-dressors believe them to be too camp.
-
Oh man, Hajo's gonna have your head Funked. ;)
Although I dunno if he should even bother getting steamed; homo-car claims coming from a WRX pilot and all...
Say it with me Funked - in that 'gay' Lance Armstrong voice:
"Its what inside that makes the difference..."
Done any "tearing the wind in half" lately?"
:D
-
The street is no place to be driving fast, if you crash your car you could injure other people as well. Always obey the law and drive within the limits.

What makes a car gay? The ones you listed in the opening post are all cool cars in my book. I would like to have any one or all three. Does that make me "gay"? Hmmmm... I suppose it would... in the original conotation of the word (meaning "happy") :D.
-
This is DEFINATELY something you don't want to do in a Z3:

OMG, Pwn3d. Good thing he didn't have a passenger, woulda been cleaning up brains off the leather.
-
Yeah, he was going backward too, you can still see his left over "over steer" in pic 1.
-
If only he had AWD!!! :D

Yeah, could have added all that extra weight to his car!

Funk,
Go play in the back yard with your Scuby Snacks.. :D
I know my Miata will pull close to 145mph on the Dyno. She's pulling 119hp at the rear wheels or around 160hp at the crank.
If you include the drag co. on the car it does @ 130. But the fastest I've been is 110 and thats been on a closed course.
There are a few other Mad Miatas out there that can kiss 150 mark. Not including those Monster Miatas with the Ford 302 motors
-
Rip, thats why I will not put my Miata on the track till I get this installed.

I was just joking. The Z3 has a built in head roll bar for both the driver and passenger. Part of the car, not aftermarket.
-
I still wouldn't want to roll a Z3 with stock factory roll bar.. I'd get one of these you get a bit more noodle clearance...

Well judging from his driving technique, he could use the extra traction. :)
Of course AWD cars roll too:

If I were going to track a Z3, definately would do something more than stock (and it may even be required, depending on your club)

Just get a 125 cc shifter kart and use the street car to tow it.
-
Karts are kool.. I rented one for an autocross event. Yaa hoo.. is all I say.. But I'd rather drive my Miata then have to buy a complete clothing and head gear. Not to menton the cost of upkeep on the Kart.
-
I agree, cars are great for autocross. But for racing, you can't beat karts in bang for the buck. They accelerate/corner/brake way better than any street car, and you can easily get into the sport for less than $5,000. When you roll your street car or another racer plows into the back of it, that $5,000 will seem pretty cheap.
