Been a long time since I've seen him. Anyone know if he's still playing AH?

I have a feelin' he may not be. But he's on my AHBB buddy list still. ;)
Yeah ... I miss him too. Even after he went through the change.

Last time I saw anything from him was back in January on Checksix. He said something about his AH UBB account being porked. Don't remember if he said anything about where he's playing or anything tho.

Far as I know he hasn't been flying for a long while. He checked into Bigweek a while back(many months). As I recall he said he'd gone thru some hard times(he kinda got caught up in that Worldcom thingy) but was doing OK otherwise. That's about as much detail as I remember.
Be great to see him up again sometime.

Yes Drano, I remember him mentioning the Worldcom thing now. I too wish he could find his way back here. He was one of the personalities I enjoyed. He was a good UBB dueler too, lol.

Howdy guys. Been a long break. I was walking on thin ice for a long while but things seemed to have turned around (hopefully) for the best now. We even have customers to deal with! That is when everyones not busy looking for ole Bernie Ebbers money he stashed in the closets and drawers.
Man. I do miss the Yak with it's "37mm proboscis of love" !!

(Arlo, not "changed" so much as I came out of the Bigweek cave and saw that theres a whole bigger world out here. With "things" beyond AW4's wildest dream and filled with lots of fun, interesting people also. ;) )

Hey Apache! When I log on I'll look for you. Everytime I think of "flyinh" the Yak I wonder how well ytou;ve gotten in it ;) But when I get on I'll attempt to fly on the same side as I've got more rust than the USS Maine and I'm dreading the spanking I'm going to get. Didn't you used to live in Beantown? How's the change to the South treating you?
Swager! It's really good to see you. Not getting mushy on you or anything (and I don;t drink Bud Lite) but I have to admit you're one of the folks who's a pleasure to fly with or against. AH is a better place with you here and I'm glad to see your post. Same for Drano (my fondest scenario moment ever was winging with him!), Mr Dowding and Mr Horn too. And I'll be polite to my old buddy ArloG and include him in that also. By gones-be-gones and all .. (holds out hand with gag buzzer hidden in palm...) ;)
Flos! Congrats on your promotion to the head office!! I couldn't think of any one with a better head on her shoulders and temperament for the job. I hope it just doesn't burn you out. BTW, are you still a "thimbologist"? :) I think I owe you one. Are you going to the 2003 Con?

Thanks, Westy.... well, we only do this job for a year and then pass it on to somebody else, so I doubt it will burn me out.... I've done nearly half my term now anyway and managed to survive (with some great support!) so far. :)BTW, are you still a "thimbologist"? :) I think I owe you one. Are you going to the 2003 Con?
Yes I still collect thimbles as one of my hobbies - and yes I am going to the Con - are you?! Heck, I hope so, I would love to meet you! :D

We're just an old old squad. And like Dinosaurs we just slowly fade away ;) I still read the boards, and I've taken up 3D modeling as a hobby (been doing Vietnam era jets) , but I rarely rarely fly. Gonna be at the CON tho. Glad to hear that things are going better for you. :)

OOps! Sorry Apache ;) It was Cobra I was thinking of. For some reason I always correlated your handle and Cobra's with the name of the attack helicopters (don't ask, I don't know why...). Glad to see you're both still online here. :) I swear I'll get my hotas put back togther over the next few days (wife and kids are visiting mom-in-law for a week to boot starting this weekend!)
Vermillion! Saw some of your posts you-know-where. If I had time I'ld love help but there's not much of a chance of that any time soon. But if they ever come out with a Vietnam era sim my personal fave would be the A4 "Scooter'. However given their enourmous delays with current projects and according to http://www.deathclock.com I'll be kicking the bucket in November of 2011 I'm not too optimistic ;)

Hey Dux! I couldn't make the Con if I wanted to. Too many projects at work to align my meager vacation around already and that time frame wasn't open at all. Otherwise I'd have loved to have met you (still can! A New England meet at the NEAM someday???) and a road trip would have been a fun thing to do. Perhaps I can get a souvinere(sp?) thimble to you for passing on to Flos? I'll email you later if that's ok.

It turns out it may be a "fascimile" signiature ball done by the ball club during the 1975 season to satisfy fan (and Red Sox bank account) demands. That it was genuine and signed by the whole team seemed too good to be true. As my luck usually runs.....well, it's still valuable to me at least.
