A whole rake of guys on AH who use a pile of numbers for a call sign?

Is it lack of imagination?  Is there some auto feature which assigns ya an id if ya dont specify one on sign up? Mebbe thats their phone number? I dunno?

Ya cant these guys on text without having a calculator handy:rolleyes: If I ever get to go to the con, i hope i dont run into 4348940.

What are these guys, 'borg'?

There are a whole lot of 34568283 guys around because when you set up an account it asks you for 2 things.  First, it asks you to put in an account name and password.  I think most people get this OK.  

Upon entering an arena for the first time, you are asked to provide an alpha-numeric handle of between 4-12 characters... I think this is what throws people off.

do you realize hwo hard it is to report abuse with a guy called 312414 or something else hard to remember??? thats the reason why they do it for most...

I have a bad feeeling its the same people over and over abusing the 2week function and not supporting this game like the rest of us. Why else would they just pick a number name at random?

Of course if they had bothered to read the help manual before playing, they'd know how to choose a name but since most don't, most end up number dweebs.

I dunno, I remember one night in the DA, there was this number guy/gal, telling me that they shouldn't have picked that name when I called him/her numbers.  I guess some people just like number names :)

Maybe in the Free-loading arenas this might be a problem but not in the regular arenas.  With the ability to take screen shots and record your flight, it's hard to hide behind shades or a number handle because even though the players might not know who the person is, Big Brother...err I mean HiTech does.
