I have tested 2 computers with various color depths and resolutions. I tested various planes sitting on rwy at field F1. Here are some interesting findings:
1) Changing from 1024x768 resolution to 1600x1200 resolution did not change my framerates.
2) Changing to 32bit color with an original TNT card (not a 2) reduced frame rates by about 10%. For me, loss was worth the improved colors.
I'm curious if any of you have found reductions in frame rates going to higher resolutions while you are in the air. Right now, high reslolutions really seem to rock on AH.

Not anything significant differences in frame rates with resolutions, even 1280 res seemed to be same (unfortunately monitor doesnt support 1280 tho.. barely were able to read FPS readings)
With my P133 I did play on 800x600 resolution because it seemed better than 600x480 and with same FPS, even felt more reliable.
