Just curious. Most probably have a favourite - and a turn-off/walkout.
The first one was on TV last night - "Dr. No" (1962). Crappy and boring, but nice to see the young Ursula Undress.
My personal favourite of all was "You Only Live Twice".
"Goldfinger" was good too. Overall, I liked the Sean Connery ones the most. Roger Moore was OK in "Moonraker" - loved the scene at the end with Denis and Margaret Thatcher, in which she slaps Denis's hand for touching the food...
"Man With the Golden Gun" - Great location shots - South China sea area (?)
But when I saw the one in which Pierce Brosnan (or was it Tim Dalton) flies through the air in pursuit of a light plane (Cessna 172 I think), that was the day I stopped watching any more new Bond movies.

That was that poor excuse for a Bond agent Tim Dalton.. what a fraggin putz!! I've seen his two movies once.. However, Pierce Bronson I think has done a good job.
Best 'Q' is John Cleese
-
I like them all, apart from Moonraker and Never Say Never Again. The former relies too heavily on special effects at a time when special effects where crap and the latter involves too much zimmer frame action on the behalf of the aged Connery.
The Timothy Dalton Bond films are excellent IMO. Bond has that ruthlessness that was lost with Moore (although Moore's films were good also).
Favourite theme tune - either View to A Kill or Living Daylights.
Favourite car - DB5 although the Aston Martin in Living Daylights was good too.

For my money, Sean Connery was *the* James Bond. Once he left, the whole series went to hell.
Best Bond Film: Thunderball(1965)
Worst Bond Film: A View to a Kill(1985)
Most Fabulous Bond Babe: Lucianna Paluzzi (Thunderball)
Quality Ranking of Connery Bond films:
1. Thunderball
2. From Russia With Love
3. Goldfinger
4. Dr. No
5. You Only Live Twice
6. Diamonds are Forever
7. Never Say Never Again

Interesting.
My favorite is Dr No. (You only suck twice being my least favorite of the Connery movies)
My least favorite is Licensed to Kill
But I have to say, that I really liked "The Living Daylights" (although I wasn't a fan of Joe Don Baker as the bad guy), so I can't say that I didn't like Dalton. In fact, with the exception of Lazenby, I find that all of the Bond actors have made movies which I have liked, and movies which I haven't.
Connery Dr No (You only Live Twice)
Moore Live and Let Die (The Spy Who loved me)
Dalton The Living Daylights (Licensed to kill)
Brosnan Goldeneye (The World is Not Enough).
It's interesting to me, that Bond movies can be so many different things to different people.
One thing though Beetle, Chasinig a falling Airplane was enough to get you away from the franchise, but flying into space and shooting lasers at Richard Kiel wasn't?

best would be "the man with the golden gun"
worst would be "the world is not enough"

Goldfinger
Live and Let Die
Goldeneye
Bottom 3:
Man with the Golden Gun
License to Kill
Diamonds Are Forever

Most underated Bond film is 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'. Forget it has George Lazenby, the film has everything, even Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas!
My faves: Thunderball, Goldeneye, Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Man with the Golden Gun (something about Gold here eh?!)
My least faves: Licence to Kill, For Your Eyes Only, The World is Not Enough

So far, I think only one person has listed OMSS in thheir "worst" list.

Ahhh Bond
You can't beat the onliners and conotations in Bond flicks. I was most disappointed in the latest film. Missed a lot of:
My name is:
"Octo*****"
"***** Galore"
"Onatop"
Help me out here, I don't want to search the net for all the lines and names I can't think of here in two minutes!!!

I've seen them all, most of them at least twice, and after awhile they all sort of blend together. Or maybe that's just the after-effects of the model glue fumes from the Ki-43 I've got curing next to my laptop.
At any rate...
The early films were the best. The Cold War was at its hottest back then, so the world of secret agents and espionage had a certain appeal. For that reason, I favor "Dr. No" with all its tropical scenery and Ursula Andress shots. "Goldfinger" has the best title song, the best bad guy, the coolest lines ("Do you expect me to talk?" "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"), and the Aston Martin.
"Live And Let Die" is worth watching for no other reason than Jane Seymour as a human sacrifice and Geoffrey Holder as the voodoo witch doctor, despite the bad plot and slow pace.
"The Spy Who Loved Me" is cool for some key reasons: (a) the main Bond girl is quite capable of taking care of herself, thankyouverymuch, but isn't afraid to turn on the charm when she's in the mood and (b) Stromberg's underwater fortress is the pinnacle of Bond bad guy lairs.
Brosnan is a Bond natural, probably closer to what Fleming had envisioned for the character. "GoldenEye" was pretty decent, with a hot-looking Bond girl as a computer programmer. I didn't like Judi Dench as the new M in that one, though she seems to be getting better with each film.
It was cool to see Halle Berry do the Ursula re-incarnation bit in the last film "Die Another Day" (probably the worst Bond movie title of the lot), but when the Russian cargo plane continued to fly even as bits and pieces came off of it, well, that sort of soured the ending for me.
I read most of Ian's books and three that I really enjoyed were "Dr. No", "Live And Let Die", and "The Spy Who Loved Me" (which was completely different from the movie). I seem to recall reading "Icebreaker" by a new author but I don't remember much from it other than the fact that he drove a Saab with a high-powered aircraft light in the front grill to blind bad guys.
Connery never should have done "Never Say Never Again". Not even Kim Basinger being sold into white slavery could save that film.

The one with ***** Galore.

I could see how a woman might find Sean Connery attractive
OK.. maybe a little reading between the lines there. BUT NOT MUCH!
I just don't see much of a difference between the worst Bond movie and the best. They all follow the same basic formula and only vary in the villian's costume and location.
One caveat to Timothy Dalton... he refused to do the completely stupid lines that permiated Pierce Brosnan's first two movies. Unfortunately, given the absence of stupid one liners, the writers were at a complete loss for how to adjust.
I did like the last Bond movie though... mostly because of Halle Barry... but also because they went back to British cars (BMW in two movies?!?) and reduced the number of one liners. The rest was pretty much the same as all the other movies.

I think The World is Not Enough was the best Brosnan film. The last one comes a close second.
I think you have to be a kid growing up in the 80s and seeing them on TV on every public holiday to really appreciate the Bond films. They aren't meant to be taken particularly seriously.

From "Diamonds are Forever"
Brunette: "Hi, I'm Plenty"
Connery: "Yes, you are"
Brunette: "Plenty O' Toole"
Connery: "Named after your father, no doubt"
I don't really have a favorite Bond movie. I find most all of them have their moments (I haven't seen the latest one), some are better than others.

OHMSS was the worst. George Lazenby the worst Bond,Telly Savalas the worst Blofeld.
There is only 1 Bond...Sean Connery, and only 1 Blofeld...Charles Grey
