The question is why couldn't it do it? All that appears to be is a basic stick that you would add into your homebuilt aircraft. I would be willing to bet that you could do the same thing with a Cougar even though its not "ambidextrous". :D

Didn't TM make a joystick for the space shuttle a long time ago?

Made a few for the space shuttle program to be used by NASA for test landings with a shuttle simulator. :)

"Can Cougar do this"?
Nope, but then again it wasn't designed to.
Like anything else in life, there are a number of manufacturers of such sticks (and even more available each year for GA aircraft).
Hope you don't think that just because CH is offering such a product for RW aiviation use that their gaming products are some way "elevated" in status. Two different divisions, and two different products. What they are offering the RW aviation user is WAYYY ahead of what they offer the gamer. Not to mention the FAA's involvement... but that's a whole different thread.

Greg

When you use the thumb hat..does your head spin arround?

That stick would suck for AH... or any flight sim. Hell.. they had to build an entire instrument panel around the thing just to make it usefull.
