1.9gig will def take up to about 4 megs, ram is pretty cheap and easy to install - geoforce 3 64 meg will be fine though buy 128 if you can afford it - makes a huge diff for all yr games.

Just made my justification for the Nvida 128mg card I bought a couple of weeks ago. Now just upgrade that silly Austech MB that came in my Sony VIAO and upgrade from 1.6 to 2.0 and add 512 more ram and everything will be peachy.

It should also be noted that we are looking at our new P-51D's wing, the best looking unit in AH right now, in the top shot. Look how much nicer the P-51D wing in the bottom shot is. It really is a huge improvement.

Yup. Upped in size textures are possible with the current engine, terrain and aircraft. It's nice to know we're getting them but it doesn't push polys any higher and the system spec, although slightly higher, doesn't increase that much.

As noted by ccvi I think the most significant bits in that pic are the fuzzy terrain bits and pieces in the background :)

Right now the MA has lost my interest, with ToD being the only activity I've really been involved with in AH for the last couple of months. A certain other MMPOG has drawn me in and despite its bugs, crap FM, and other stuff I'm actually having fun.

But because of this other games crap FM I'm rarely flying. Roll on AH2 please :)

Your Celeron 700 is where you're dying. Get rid of that second-rate processor and buy a real one :D. Where you're gonna get nailed is the processor and the PCI graphics card. If the original post by the guys at HTC is truthful, you'll need at least a p3 900 + a Geforce2 rated card for the "benchmark" system. Start thinking of upgrading...you'll need to.

Online Air Combat sims have to be the only game genre where people insist on better graphics, yet insist on running obsolete hardware, then complain about framerate.
