				Just curious.

			-
always take off with 75% + DT in dora.... drop DT first engagemant
100% in 205 but never fight till wing tanks are empty
never more than 50% in 110
thats about all i fly lol

Same here, but keeping DT as long as possible along engangements, until 30% and RTB.

Usually full fuel, except for base defense.  Or in planes with exceptionally long endurance. (p51 and p38 come to mind)

			-
Well I don't have fuel fights anymore.
The last one I got in I lit up my next door neighbor with half a gallon of AV gas..
The sight of him after he burst into flames..
Just ran around flailing his arms screaming...
What a wuss..
I put him out with my truck.

				LOL poopy,  Zoolander.

				bombers 25%
Tiffie allways 100%
Pony 50%-75%
109g10 -100%
other 109's usual 75%
Spit14 100%+DT
Spit 1-5-9- seafire 75% for hunt, 50% for base defence
F4u - 75%-100%
F6F - 100%
Ki61 - 100%
Zekes 75%
Yaks-100%
MC20X 100%
P47- 100%, sometimes 50%+DT
190D9- 100%+DT
other 190's 100%
Hurricane - 50%
Il2, A20 and other anti gv's 50% sometimes 25 if base not have more

If the flight is no more than a sector, then I'll take 75% fuel and if I want to loiter around for a longer time over target or the flight is more than a sector, I'll bring a long a drop tank.  When I'm on attack runs and the flight to the target is over a sector away, I'll take 100% fuel so I can stay over the target and cover it until more friendlies arrive to take over.
ack-ack

			-
Unless base defense or long range, generally try 75% fuel -- 25% for alt and getting to the fight, 25% for the fight, and 25% to get home on.
Naturally this varies so much with the different planes it's more an easy ideal than an actual practice.  However, it is a pretty good basic survival plan for most aircraft.
Tried drop tanks when they first came out, but unless need more than 100% internal fuel, would rather burn all internal fuel and avoid the drop tank drag.

				Welp..
If we're going to get technical about this whole thing
I probably fired the bastage up with two liters of AV gas NOT a half gallon..
It would have been a half gallon but I took the humidity and density altitude into account..

			-
I might add for those taking notes that with a density altitude of 3150 feet with a humidity of 66% the time from first ignition to total flaming a bastage was 1.23 seconds..

But what were the relative winds?

			-
I fight with as much fuel as is left in the aircraft.... hell... even if it's out of fuel I've been known to fire off a few rounds.

			-
FIghter sweep: in jug i take 100% and dt...burn aux--> dt --> main
base defence in jug: 50% + DT

Nopoop you been spending WAY too much time listening to Laz!
Suggest you try headphones with music instead of AH Voice.
:)

			-
				In a6m
Intercept    : 25% clean stat.
Mid range   : 25% + DT drop before engagement.
Long range : 50% clean stat.
in above setting, I often cry in my mind
"glide, glide, my zeke. Our base is out there!" on rtb.
and ditch.:(

			-
				fmulder...
doesnt the zeke turn well enough with more fuel? when im in it i use 50%+dt  to get to the fight then drop the tank

			-
I've trained in 25% w/o DT stat at offline long time.
So I feel it little bit heavy truning in 50%...
To prevent ditching due to fuel out, I limit myself 1-2 engagement
per 1 sortie. But often ditch. :(
Anyway, I need more skill to fight in 50% stat.
I need more training, and will try that. :)

			-
				And the Correct answer is.......
25% because all the Fuel is Porked!!    ;)

:: DING ::   :: DING ::
(or as much as I get at a feild)

			-
No... the real answer is... "All of it."
:)

			-
100% for all LW planes except the Ta152. DTs too, if available.
That's still barely enough to go around when you have to try to catch the damned P-51s "extending" for two sectors.

ps) 512x512 terrains should have the fuel burn rate lowered. It renders all LW planes practically inert.

			-
Spitfire (except Mk XIV): 25% for base defense, 75% for offensive sweeps.
Mosquito: 50% for anti-GV base defense, 75% for offensive ops one sector away because the Mosquito's fuel consumption is double what it should be.
A6M: 25% for defense, 50% for anything else.
Il-2: 50%
Bf109: 100%
Fw190: 75%
Ki-67: 50%
Yak-9U: 100%

			-
F6F: 50% + DT or 75% depending on what i'm doing at the time
P-38: 75% and single DT if longer flight
Spits:75%
P-40: 50% - 75% depending on situation

			-
100% and DT in all 190's and 109's. 75% and DT in Ta152 (used to use 50% and DT but gone over to 75 now). 100% and DT in Ta152 for the really long flights that more or less never happen.
Most other planes 100% and DT except 110 and mossie.

			-
Its neat if I can arrange things such that any  e sapping combat in a Lavochkin is with less than 50% fuel.

			-
Seafire with 100%, unless upping at a capped field or entering a furball within 2 mins of takeoff.  Then the fuel is usually porked anyway so I take what I can get.

			-
25%in everything cause thats all there ever is

			-
				P51D - 75%
F4U-D - 50% and a DT or 100% depending on where the fight is.

			-
				100% all planes all situations......

			-
Depends on the situation...requires good SA.
For instance, if the dammm dog is barking outside, I'll up with at least 50% for a slow climb out and a good kick as he comes in through the door after I scream at him to get his bellybutton back in the house.
If I need to perhaps put the laundry in the dryer and start a new load, I'll take 100%, turn away from the fight and grab ( why is it that when you leave the puter for 10 minutes you are at 30K, but when you sit there it takes 20 minutes? )
If the wife is walking down the stairs muttering about " Are you doing that Damnnn flying game again, I'll up with drop tanks , turn away, alt tab, and open a porno site, she usually will say - oh jeez - fly the damnnn game you pervert ...
Diaper changes require perhaps a bomber run, 25% always...

Always take enough gas to make it back with.  Generally run %100.  DTs sometimes.
%50 when defending in most situations.
