the six-letter word to describe ole Bob: nutjob
he was doing okay until he jumped on the blame "911 on bush bandwagon" - lost credibility at that point to many but the other nutjobs
if he's their best bet, the rep's don't have anything to worry about..

Never underestimate a potential candidate..after all, Clinton came out of NoWheresVille and pulled the wool over the American publics face for 2 elections (Well, the first you have to give credit to Perot, and the second you had Dole or Clinton for a choice  )

Amazing how many flag waving conservatives think the American public is a bunch of knumbskulls. Yet they "love America".
Clinton had a 60%+ approval rating AFTER the impeachment. But the only conclusion you can draw from that is that the American public must be stupid? Easily duped?
Kinda like the wacko claiming everyone else in the world is crazy except him!!
hehee

your logic makes sence midnight stop confuseing them. They are far more patriotic then we are do not question it.

I wouldn't pee on Graham if he was on fire.

And here come the elitist limo liberals!
-
limo?
-
There are two basic types of liberals:
1. "I'm miserable and I want everybody else to be as miserable as I am."
2. "Most people (not including me) are too stupid to make their own economic decisions, so all decisions should be made by government agencies staffed with smart people like me."
-
I forgot the third type:
3. "I feel guilty for my success so I think the government should penalize successful people"
2 and 3 usually go together, but sometimes 1 and 2 go together.
I guess the posts in this thread gave me a strong odor of type 2 & 3 liberals. :)
I could be wrong, but this BBS wouldn't be any fun if people actually thought before speaking and calling people silly names.
-
According to these rules, I'm not really a liberal...
Go figure.
Can I get a big hug from brutha Grun? :D
-
I'm sure one of those three types is lurking somewhere within you. :)
-
quit flashing that mirror in their face, Funked, you might scare someone to vote the issues and not the party ;)

I voted for Dole - didn't you?
he was/is better man than Clinton will ever evolve into in this life

Think there's a problem with that mirror. I never vote with the party. I am not a democrat. :)

You forgot.
4."I’m a victim it’s not my fault, I dropped out of high school, and have to many kids to feed and no husband. The "government", through tax payers; who made tough life decision to better them selves; should by me a house, let me in school, and give me a great job, and free health care."

60% of whom?
Who did the poll?
Don't answer cause I really don't care. Polls are worthless.
-
I voted for Dole - didn't you?
====
Well now I know of TWO people who voted for Dole.

The Conservative......
1. I got mine, get your own you sniveling little underlucky POS! If you did what I did you wouldn't be so dang poor! (Thanks Daddy)
2. We need a strong military and we need someone besides me to pay for it! Cut those taxes.
3. Don't tell me about being underpriviliged. I was nearly broke and almost always had trouble coming up with gas money for the car my daddy bought me when I was younger.
:p
-
One more....
4. We need government out of my business. But lets make sure its all over your business.

Graham is chair of intelligence committee and has the nerve to claim the intelligence is all W's fault.
I hate Partisan politicks
-
Pu-leeze!
ANYONE can take a poll and have the results come back the way they want them.
It's all in who you ask.
You want to show your side is better? Poll mostly people from your side and TA DA! Your side has the most votes.
Real accurate!
-
I get polled by telephone on occassion. Does this mean there is a list somewhere that has my political and ecomomic views alongside my phone number?

Not true! I gave you fair warning that I'm a "love'em & leave'em" kind of guy. Not in a Dowding-esque, way, though.
:D

He doesn't stand a chance, actually. But if it did come down to him or Dubya I'd vote Sharpton.
-
i disagree, sharpton has a good chance to win , 3 of the demos didn't show up for the NAACP meeting so Mefumie said they are out, that leaves 5 white boys left, sharpton will get the black vote, the white liberal anti-war vote, the white liberal enviro vote, the white liberal' guilty about slavery' vote.
now i know some of the groups overlap, but with under the table arab oil money and the help of the media he has a good chance to be president of the united states of america.

"If Al Sharpton becomes President, I'm moving to Canada."

At the risk of having DMF tell me I'm full of sheeeit, convenience samples are the worst form of "statistics." Unfortunately, most opinion polls are nothing but that. One cannot simply apply the statistic to the population, yet the media does it all the time.
-
if they hand out the monthly welfare checks at the voting booths that Nov, sharpton has a shot :)
-
Skuzzy: Watermelon and fried chicken remarks deleted.

Bob Graham makes a helluva good cracker, he's got my vote.

If by convenience samples you mean self-selected polls such as call-ins or Internet polls, then you're absolutely correct. They hold absolutely no validity, and we cannot generalize the results to the population.
However, random sampling (or more realistically, some near-random form of sampling such as cluster sampling), provided you poll enough people and present questions in a scientific manner, yields very reliable data that we may generalize to the population.

You don;t need a welfare check to get a dem vote. Last time a pack of cigarettes and a free ride to the pols was enough.
