Form a triangle with the index finger and thumb of both hands in front of you and look through it at an object. Close one eye, then repeat with the other.
One eye will seem to cause the object to shift , the other eye will retain the object within the triangle......this is your dominant eye.
I'm left eyed :)
You should always aim with your dominant eye.........maybe even use that dominant eye to see while viewing AH in a highly drunken state.

Bored today huh?
One of the cool things about non-binocular vision is I can switch eyes without closing them to get this effect.

It's a rather important test if you're an archer.

Right eye

After Sandman's post absolutely the right eye (and I am rightie). Seems to be a very good and accurate test. My left eye goes way off the target...

I wonder if Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles know.

I am left handed, but right eye dominant.

I grew up shooting BB guns right handed. Eventhough today I shoot a bow or a handgun left handed, I still shoot a rifle right handed. Maybe that is why I am right eye dominant?
I learned this a couple of years ago. Knowing it really helped my firing accuracy.

???
If one is using a modern bow - equipped with a peepsight and a front stud/crosshair, one may as well call oneself a rifleman and apply the same rules.
If you are using a traditional bow, there is technically no aiming involved any more than while throwing a stone, a javelin or using a sling (not the sling-shot). Which eye do you aim with while trowing a stone or a dart?

I'm right handed but left-eye dominant, no wonder I can't hit didly!
Being left-eye dominant doesn't make me a liberal I hope?
