I guess it just goes to show that:
(a) politicians are cheap - bidding stalled at less than $300 until the Most Eligible Bachelor put on a show.  Like Condoleeza is hard up for cash?  C'mon!

(b) Press Secretaries are worth a lot more money than surgeons turned Republican Senators.

(c) Nobody cares about public health unless they're sick themselves.  Tommy Thompson should've gone the first time up for auction! :p
