Does any of you use a 19" lcd with 25ms for ah with 1280x1024 res ?
Lots of ghosting or is it ok?
I know lots of you hate lcd's for gaming but i dont care, the space saved and what i use my puter for 95% of the time does not require crt.
Ive found a very good deal for a hansol H950 19" and im tempted
Foud one review and it said it was very good for gaming with just slight ghosting if you play really fast paced FPS games

Hi Jos!
"Ghosting", is that when for instance the mouse pointer seems
to have a tail when you move it fast?
If so, it's hardly noticable. I use a Dell 1701FP and I dont see any
differences compared to a CRT.
If you found one at a reasonable price, take it! You wont regret it.
Cheers!

Yup jensk, ghosting is like the "tail" that follows the mouse and when the image gets kinda blurry when there is a lot of fast movements. Is your lcd a 25ms one?
Cheers !
Found it on sweedish komplett.se as well

in the norwegian store it costs me 4995,-

I just bought a NEC LCD Flatpanel 1760 V
http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/home/nec_index.cfm
1280x1024 rex @ 75mhz, 16 ms responce.
25ms will be iffy i think. 16 is the best i found that is out now.
u want the lowest responce time u can get.
in AH, colors and view range is better then CRT. i have no ghosting or motion blur when dogfighting. only time i notice
bluring is when zoomed in max in gun turret(aa or GV).
night time is alittle worse on lcd i think epecially the dusk/sunrise
parts.
otherwise i think the LCD is better then the CRT, i think i can se farther, clearer, with better color then the CRT.
my 17" LCD gives me same Viewing size as my 19" CRT did.
Whels

i also looked at that display but the price made the diff for me, ill see when i get em if they are up to the task. If they dont work out ill just use one for my usuall apps and get a new 16ms screen for gaming. The Huyndai Q17s is fairly cheap, has 16ms, dvi and is praised by tomshardware.com as is the NEC

after flying aceshigh for the past 4 years using a 15",17 and 19" monitor.
i thought i'd try a sony SDM-S71R 17" TFT LCD .
was strange at first but as with most things you get used to it and as whels i think said ,the lcd gives a larger viewable area than a crt. like it now and as i mostly fly buffs i dont get that blur thingy which i guess could happen in a furball.

thx for the input draig.. :)
ill find out when i get em sometime this week

I've used this: SONY SDM-X202 20"TFT, 92KHZ 1600 DVI-D
Responsetime 15ms
AH works really fine.

picked em up today and im very happy with em. Very bright, 500:1 contrast, good angle (170deg) and NO ghosting :) I have now heard that its the same lcd panel as the samsung syncmaster 191T. I was lucky to... no dead pixels on any of them
Highly recomended
