Title: Self Help Books
Post by: rogwar on July 19, 2003, 08:35:06 PM
Someone I know who recently got laid off from a 20 plus year job where he devoted his life day in and day out was having real trouble adjusting and seemed depressed...but in a psycotic sort of way. He reminded me of Lawrence in "Full Metal Jacket". Anyway he was asking me if I could recommend any books or self help materials so that he might find the truth in life and establish a new direction.

I was at a Starbucks/Barnes & Noble this morning and picked him up a copy of "Catcher in the Rye". I dropped it off on his porch this afternoon with a card. Can anyone recommend any others?

Thanks,

rogwar

I was thinking of writing one called "Who the hell moved my Catcher in the Rye?"

This is in recognition for "Who moved my queso?"
