Title: Donkey Kong... 20 yrs later

King of Kong
The high score in Donkey Kong that stood for 20 years fell this week when Steve Wiebe of Redmond, Washington managed to rack up over 900,000 points points, breaking the previous record of 879,200 held by New Yorker Billy Mitchell. Wiebe recorded the momentous occasion and sent the video to Twin Galaxies, who made it official.

Impressed by the feat, a Twin Galaxies spokesperson reportedly said, "If you beat a gamer with the caliber of Billy Mitchell, that's a feather in your cap, (he's) the cream of the crop when it comes to video gaming."

If anyone out there is looking to start a video game collection, pick up a Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., or Donkey Kong 3.  The mother boards for all 3 are interchangeable.  I have a pic of mine around here somewhere.
