Yes I did. Was great weather all the way there.

Flew with Bob Shaw while there, had great fun,Loops, imals, cuban 8s, split Ss,rolls, 90 deg barrel rols,on a hammer head with bob flying it in the back,(note the back stick is removalble and it just pulls out of the socke)t. Well just as we fall threw the hammer head I notice getting a little light in the seat. I Say bob, your on the negitve g side , no response ,no change in planes path, at this time we are going straight down. Finaly I say, I got the plane, and do normal recovery. Then bob pipes up saying well I was sorta bz trying to put the stick back in it's hole.

Flight back 1st 1/2 hour sucked riding the bumps at 2500 ft under a cloud layer, final it went to a broken layer and i could get on top.

Trip back was about 4:20 with a small head wind.

LOL

Good story.

We had a seat latch pop out while doing practice stalls one day in the FBO's C172.  I was sitting with the instructor with the nose up high waiting for the stall to break...then  vvoooooooooooooooooossssh  I sliding way back, yoke in hand.  As we flopped forward...voooooooooooooooooo sh, I rolled forward into the yoke.  After grabbing the dash, the instructor had the plane while I tried to get the remaining pin to stay in the track  LOL.

LePaul, believe it or not, that has actually killed several people and caused the issuance of an airworthiness directive for seat rail replacement in all single engine Cessnas. Imagine if you were by yourself, and the seat rolled backwards right as you were rotating on takeoff. It was the last thing that happened to many a dead pilot  :(
