I gotta admit. I mostly fly the Zeke but when I want iron I go for the Stang. Anyway, no more cheesy cessna sounding engine for you guys. Uploaded 3 new files for the P51. Instead of explaining it, I'll just copy the readme here.
There are two different engine wavs. ENG.WAV is the "less real" sounding file. Although it is still accurate. ENG2.WAV is for you die-hard American iron drivers who demand absolute accuracy in your Stang. For you gentleman, EN2.WAV is *the most accurate* P51D Merlin engine sound your gonna find. Keep in mind, this is how it sounds INSIDE
THE COCKPIT. This was recorded inside the actual cockpit of a P51D with canopy closed. Also, the GEAR.WAV file is the actual sound of the P51D gear and doors. If you use ENG2.WAV then be sure to rename it ENG.WAV

And please if you see me in my Zeke, be kind.

109f,g2,g6, or g10.....?
I can only find one set of 109 sounds?
Are not the engines different in each of these types? Currently using AKwabbit's 109 sounds and I believe they are different by aircraft model.

I didn't think AKWabbit had more than one 109 sound? I won't be doing any other 109's unless I get more time. One file at a time, one file at a time....

Who cares about the 109! US --> MEN <-- don't fly JUNKers like that anyway. Thank's for the fantastic P51 sounds Fscott! Where did you get these? Did you record them? Are you "corn" from Warbirds?
Now, where can I find some 109 fodder. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Hmm, I was thinking a 20mm from my P38's cannon was more of a "Special treat for the "RUNStang" drivers". Sorry, wrong thread (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Will check out your sounds. Only custom sounds I'm using now are Citabira's P38 ones. Had AKwabbit's loaded at one time, but didn't like some of them on my setup so I didn't reload them the last time I re-installed cause I'm to lazy to pick through them (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif). If you get a chance, I'd be interested in hearing your version of the P38 sound.

BTW HBlair,
I don't if you know but that is the 109 that crashed in '97 at Duxford. They currently restoring it back to static condition. Check out page 14 of the Novemeber 2000 issue of `FlyPast' mag for the article. Thanks for the great pic!

rgr sundog, some of these guys know the history of that plane. I know vadr does. It was a real german 109 found in the desert of north africa during or after the war. It is known as the "black 6" if I'm not mistaken. An old squaddie from JG77 in WB's sent some of these pics out to that squad about a year ago. I pull em out on a thread every now and then to eeww and ahhh the boys around here. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
