Title: SEA problems
Post by: najdorf on July 25, 2003, 09:27:19 AM
I have noticed that when I have gone into the SEA for snapshots that any movement of controls or switch from or to auto pilot, causes my engine to stop for a couple of seconds.  All buttons are properly mapped.

Yes, it was the hurri I.

spit and hurri 1s dont have superchargers. negative Gs will cause the engine to quit for a second because there isnt a supercharger to force the fuel to the engine. therefore, when you are in a climb and use auto level it forces your plane to straight and level quickly, which causes negative Gs.

i really hate that i missed this snapshot because these are 2 of my favorite planes to fly.

It takes time to learn these planes, but should help keep "vector of thrust" up front in your mind.
