Title: What a ROF for a FLAK
Post by: MANDOBLE on July 26, 2003, 12:34:08 PM
Some minutes ago I found that Flak with a very uncommon ROF, so I decided to film. Some of its tracers were overpassing others very fast.

Yup.. it's definitely firing faster than the norm, or the tracers are at least.

I'm sure that if the standard wav size is smaller/shorter then it can change the ROF.  I might be wrong but I've noticed different ROF for the hispano when it has different wav file used, perhaps the same for the Osty?

Does the WAV file actually effect the ROF, or just what you hear. You could hear three gunshots but only fire two rounds? Just a thought.

Well I've just finished some testing and it worked out to be the same time.... so, how the Ostwind appeared to have a greater ROF I haven't a clue?!

I think it is a bug with how the tracers are displayed, in the same catagory as the "forward firing Ar234".

You simply see the tracers of both the 37mm and the 7.9mm hull MG as if they were both being fired from the tower in the direction of its barrel.

This is all without having seen the film, but having seen something similar myself numberous times in the arenas myself.

Due to lag I have witnessed panzers firing 5 shots at the same time....

With the tanks, 1 tracer = 1 shot... and every round has a tracer...

May have absolutely nothing to do with this though +)
