One last year, one the year before.  The .308 model 700 will fire 5 shots through the same hole at 200 yards.

Some companies have core strengths that I'll keep going back to.

Favorite manufacturers
Nike - but only their shoes (best balance of weight and cushion).

Craftsman - but only their hand tools (never broken, but have had them stolen).

Levi's - but only the 501 and 505 jeans, and Dockers pants (quality never goes out of style).

Timex - but only the Ironman line (everything else is just pretend).

Reebok - but only the fitness compression shorts (unique Y cut so no chafing on endurance runs).

Oakley - but only their sunglasses (optical quality, lightweight, good fit, durable).

Rockport - but only their loafer (most comfortable dress loafer I've found).

Teva - but only their sandal (best comfort, fit, and durability).

Favorite vendors:
Model Expo Online - best prices and great customer support.

Spike Nashbar - same reason, plus I can drive to their shop and save on shipping charges.

Target - beats Wal-Mart hands down.  I'll also hit K-mart, but only because I can use their self-checkout and avoid the lines at the cashier stations.  Wal-Mart is the pits when it comes to cheap retailing.  I guess all those low prices meant store upkeep was cut waaaaay back.

Sports Authority - good selection, good services, good pricing, good sales, plus they sponsor a lot of local 5k races.

Publix Supermarkets - their deli and selection keep me coming back.

You know you're destroying the environment by creating landfills with plastic diapers that don't decompose, don't you? Its kind of hypocratic considering what side of the political fence you sit upon...but I guess its okay since these rules generally don't apply to you since  YOU are the center of the universe, right? But by Cod, they better apply to others though! :D

Thats okay, continue to nitpick spelling, its helping your overwhelming lack of self confidence by small leaps and bounds.  Someday you may actually feel good enough about yourself that you won't have to spell-correct.

My wife just bought a Protege5 and it's made in Japan...What rules make it American made?
Title: Are You "Brand" Loyal?

I used to try real hard to buy american cars.  back in 86 when I bought my first new car, I payed extra to get a ford, I could have bought a simular import for much less.

after a couple months wondering where all the metric bolts came from it turns out that most all the electric was from mexico, most of the rest was from argintina (If I recall corectly).

turns out you just make money for american companys when you buy most 'american cars', you don't do crap for american auto workers.

do we even make any cars here anymore?  or just bolt together the large peices that where built elsewhere?

The MC-7502 (2 channel 600W) was about $3,500.00.  I use it for powering dual B&W subwoofers.

The MC-7503 (3 channel 800W) was about $4,200.00.  I use it for powering the 3 front B&W center speakers.

I use the Yamaha DSP-A1 to power the other 4 B&W speakers.

The B&W's are the THX line (FCM8 Mains, PCS8 Subs, SCM8 surrounds).

what ohm's are the speakers @.

a store here in Milwaukee had some McIntosh pre amps running some speakers (i forget which) @ 2 ohms. WOW talk about amazing sound clarity (from a turntable too  ;) )

Ps. that McIntosh was $35,000 IIRC.

Post by: Skuzzy on July 30, 2003, 03:46:12 PM
The McIntosh you are referring to is part of the signature line.  It is a tube amplifier and is probably one of the best amplifiers in the world.

I ran the B&W's at 4 ohms.

have you tried the dennon? i just think their technology is the best IMHO. best signal quality. + Uber features.

Post by: Skuzzy on July 30, 2003, 03:54:49 PM
If you have not heard the Yamaha DSP-A1 with some good speakers connected, you won't beleive the clarity of the sound, particularly the highs.
Crisp and clean.  The mids are not muddled at all.

I have had Dennon, but after I heard the A1, I was sold.  Plus all the nice bridges it has to allow you to reroute the amp power made it great for my setup.

I cannot stand the low end Yamaha stuff, but thier upper line DSP stuff is pretty awesome, particularly for the price ($1500.00 for the A1).
