Title: 24 days, and I am still alive
Post by: narsus on August 01, 2003, 02:02:09 PM
I havent had a single cigarrette in 24 days.

I decided to quit on June 22 but had like 5 smoke until 24 days ago.

I still want a smoke but the urge has gone down a bit, and getting rid of all the brown stuff in my lungs.

w00t!

Excellent!

Don't give in to the "I'll just have one" urge. Tell yourself you're a nonsmoker.

Its been 3.5 years now without a puff. It is wonderful not having those things run your life.

Well I have smoked for 12 years, and been a pach a day smoker.

I figure since I have quit I saved $150 or so.

congrats, you've made the finish line.  after about 15 years smoke free your odds of getting smoking related dissease is virtually the same as someone who never smoked.
